July starts out on July 3rd with a very pleasant full moon trine to Uranus, which can be construed as good luck. This aspect outweighs the full moon opposition to Mercury, an aspect that could generate some high emotions. Saturn will come to Mercury’s rescue with an easy 120-degree trine aspect that will settle things down on that front. This is all very nice for the long holiday weekend, as many people are taking off July 3rd, as well as July 4th.
In early July, Venus and Mars continue to form a conjunction with each other and a 90-degree square aspect with Uranus. This aspect could stir up people’s passions and make for some interesting summer holidays or class reunions.
On July 11, Mars moves in Virgo and this is a nice change from Leo’s fire energy. While it immediately opposes Saturn, which is subduing, it also starts to move into a friendly 120- degree trine with Uranus. This will be a relief. That aspect continues for the rest of the month, creating some harmony and ease.
The Full Moon on July 17 will briefly reignite some tension when the Sun and Moon oppose Pluto. Fortunately, this is short lived and probably just a nice day to take it easy and not try to do too much.
Venus goes retrograde on July 23. This is unusual because of all the planets in our solar system, Venus spends the least amount of time in retrograde. It only occurs approximately every 18 months and during Venus’ retrograde motion we are encouraged to reflect upon and revise our personal views around pleasure, relationships, money, and beauty. That said, the period between July 23 and September 4, when Venus goes direct again, is not a great time to be changing your hairstyle, getting plastic surgery, buying new furniture, or making big changes to your home. You can think about those things, but wait until the Autumn to execute a plan.
