At the end of July, Mars formed a conjunct aspect to Uranus in Taurus and this aspect will continue through the first half of August. In the middle of the month, the Sun will join this combustible combination by forming a 90-degree square aspect to both Mars and Uranus. Saturn will oppose the Sun and continue to square Mars and Uranus (this configuration is called a T-square) and, hopefully, temper some of the volatility created by this planetary combination or the Sun, Mars, and Uranus. However, the theme of feeling under “threat” will remain, regardless.
The New Moon on August 11 will be conjunct Saturn. This will be an appropriate time to reflect on our obligations and responsibilities. It is also a good time to get organized and tidy things up or to review and restructure anything we consider overly burdensome.
During the third week of the month, Mercury in Virgo will bring a practical and potentially calming influence first to Uranus, and then to Mars a few days later. After the intensity of the first half of August, Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn) may finally feel some mental and emotional relief. When Venus enters Leo and forms a very positive 120-degree trine aspect with Jupiter in Aries, the Fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) will start to exhale too.
The Full Moon in Virgo on August 27 will form a 90-degree square aspect with Mars, which will be inhabiting Gemini by then. This is a restless influence that epitomizes over-thinking. Many people have trouble sleeping during a Full Moon and this one may be no exception.
By months end, there will be five planets in retrograde. This will continue for almost two months. It may feel more difficult to make progress. However, if you continue the organizing, tidying, reviewing, and restructuring you may have started under the New Moon, you have a good chance of finishing your tasks. So, stay focused and continue to work towards completion. The dust will eventually clear.
