On the other hand, they can be quite diplomatic and possess finely tuned emotional intelligence.

Curious by nature, a Sag, like their opposite sign of Gemini, gathers information and communicates what they learn. In that sense, they can seem like dilettantes with lots of disparate facts and data on the tips of their tongues. Higher education and universities are also ruled by the centaur.

Both the Vatican and the country of Tibet are ruled by Sagittarius. This sign is drawn to philosophy, faith, and religion, as well as any mind-expanding exercise. Independent and unconventional, or even eccentric, a Sag marches to their own drumbeat. Visionary is a word that often comes to mind when describing a Sagittarius.

They are driven by an inner motivation and patiently, steadfastly pursue their goals. They crave success and are the ultimate over achievers. Capricorns want to have an impact and create a legacy.

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. This can make them seem overly practical, serious, and taciturn Type A individuals who hold in their emotions. They also tend to be perfectionistic like Virgo, another earth sign. And like Virgo, they can also make loyal, helpful friends. Not all Capricorns are stuffy traditionalists. If they become passionately involved in their craft, profession, a cause, or a hobby they will forge new and innovative paths to achieve their agenda.

Never one to follow the crowd, Aquarius’ personal motto could be, “I did it my way.” Another personal motto might be “Question everything.” These people are generally highly individualistic, creative, freedom loving, and often ahead of their time.

Saturn is Aquarius’ traditional ruler and Uranus is its modern ruler (Uranus was discovered in 1781). This can make them a study in contrasts. In some instances, they are traditional and serious like their Capricorn counterparts. In other cases, they are innovative, unorthodox, and oblivious to societal norms. The City of Los Angeles, motion pictures, airplanes, both Congress and the Senate, engineers, faith healers, electricity, chiropractors, and astrology are all examples of things ruled by Aquarius.
