In 2025 every outer planet changed signs. This is very rare in a single year. Then, in the later part of the summer, several planets went retrograde and revisited their earlier path by going back into the signs they had left only months earlier. This provided us with an opportunity to review our trajectory and course correct, if needed. That process was highlighted by the Mercury retrograde in late July and early August.

In the second week of November several planetary changes take place. Mercury will go retrograde from November 10 to November 30. Mercury retrograde always asks us to review past information and paradigms. Only a few days earlier, retrograde Uranus in Gemini will move back into Taurus. Taurus rules wheat, banks, currency, financial affairs, stocks and securities, and national treasuries. Then a couple of days after Mercury goes retrograde, Jupiter will go retrograde in Cancer. The sign of Cancer rules land, water, home, family, and food. As the holiday season begins, have we reached a perfect storm for our resources? The retrograde motion of these planets in these signs is insisting that we consider/ reconsider our value system.

In addition, Saturn will resume forward motion in late November and head back towards Aries and an exact conjunction with Neptune. As I’ve mentioned before, the Saturn- Neptune conjunction happens about every 36 years and ushers in great social and political change. In December, Neptune will join Saturn in its direct motion. Many of us will be personally challenged by this conjunction. And many political systems will be impacted and upset by the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in early 2026. The build up to this energy is happening now.

On a lighter note, Jupiter is in a loose trine to both Saturn and Neptune and all three planets are in easy aspects to Uranus and Pluto. This creates a nice “conversation” in the sky. I do have hope that we can overcome some of the immediate planetary challenges brought out by the Saturn-Neptune conjunction if we do our inner evolutionary work and stay focused a positive and unifying vision of the environment we want to create for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
