One of the luckiest days of the month will be June 2, when Jupiter and Pluto are in an exact trine aspect. This aspect will linger for most of the month. With Jupiter and Pluto in a friendly 120-degree aspect through most of June, it is possible to make progress on important projects and enjoy some good old-fashioned luck along the way.

June also begins on a very sociable note with 4 planets and the New Moon in Gemini. This is wonderful time to get out and about, make connections, or reconnect with others. By the second and third weeks of June the Sun, Mercury, and Venus form a subdued 90-degree aspect with Saturn. This may take some of the buoyancy out of social interaction, but a more serious conversation can lead to deeper connections and better decisions about partnerships and collaborations.

When Mars squares Pluto on June 11 things may take on a more intense tone. If there have been some built up frustrations, these will come out and need attention to resolve.

The Solstice occurs when the Sun reaches the northernmost point from the celestial equator and the Earth’s tilt towards the Sun is at its maximum. This day usually falls on June 20, 21 or 22. It is the longest day and shortest night of the year. The term “Midsummer” is an Old English reference to the Summer Solstice, although the day is often celebrated on June 24. After the Solstice we start losing a little light every day as we move towards the Autumn Equinox.

This year the Solstice corresponds with the New Moon, which brings the Sun, Mercury, and Venus together in a 90-square aspect to Neptune. This will give the New Moon a dreamy quality. It can also amplify feelings of longing or frustration and it may be difficult to figure out where those feelings are coming from. Be patient and see what transpires over the following few days. As the Sun, Mercury, and Venus travel through Cancer, they will all start to make nice 120-degree trine aspects to Saturn in Pisces. Saturn is good for grounding the energy and aligning it more with reality in a constructive way.
