In December Mercury went retrograde. In January Mercury went direct, but Mars went retrograde. In February Mars goes direct, but eight days later Venus goes retrograde. In March Mercury goes retrograde again. When all the personal planets change directions sequentially like this, it is difficult to find one’s pace or rhythm. We end up feeling like we have two left feet and can’t determine which way the wind is blowing.

After Jupiter goes into direct motion on February 5, we might start to feel a little more in the flow. Or not. At least Mars and Pluto will no longer be in a combative 180-degree aspect, which is better for our psyches. February 12 may hit a rough patch as Uranus, the planet of both innovation and disruption, opposes the New Moon in Leo. “How many curve balls can we catch,” may be the big question that week.

At the end of February, the New Moon in Pisces will be in square aspect to Jupiter in Gemini. This aspect could amplify emotions (Pisces) or cause communications to be crossed (Gemini). This can lead to offenses being taken. Adopting a Zen attitude will serve us all well as the month ends.
