March ended with a cluster of inner and outer planets hovering at around 28-29 degrees of Pisces and zero degrees of Aries. The last degree, especially the twenty-ninth degree of a sign denotes the end or conclusion of something while the zero degree indicates the beginning of a new cycle. The zero degree of Aries is particularly critical as it is the degree that marks the beginning of Spring and a whole new cycle of productivity where we plant, grow, and harvest crops (or ideas).
But amidst all the potential that comes with the Spring Equinox, both Mercury and Venus were retrograde, we entered the year’s eclipse cycle, and Neptune changed signs by moving into Aries for the first time in 165 years. All this planetary activity may have felt unsettling, to say the least. Humans aren’t wired for this much change at one time. But all of 2025 will feel like this to some extent.
The beginning of April is a continuation of the chaos experienced at the end of March. A lot of planets are changing directions and moving into new signs and this creates a concentration of intense energy and extreme reactions. Fortunately, Mars moves into Leo, where it is much happier, on April 20 and forms a trine to Venus, Saturn and Neptune. This energy will feel much smoother. I consider April 20 to be a pivotal day.
The best news in April is that all month Saturn will form a happy 60-degree sextile with Uranus and this brings new opportunities. Don’t let any opportunities pass you by. They may be subtle, but they will be potent. And they must be approached with a responsible sensibility.
